Early Life & Education
Syed Sulaiman Nadwi (1884–1953 CE) was a renowned Islamic historian, scholar, and writer, best known for his deep contributions to Seerah literature, especially through the monumental work Sirat-un-Nabi, which he co-authored with his mentor, Allama Shibli Nomani. A key figure in Nadwatul Ulama, he emerged as one of the most respected intellectual voices of Indian Muslims during British colonial rule.
Born in Desna, Bihar, Sulaiman Nadwi pursued classical Islamic studies and later became part of the Nadwa movement, which sought to harmonize traditional Islamic scholarship with modern thought.
